ABOUT DAM

In Memory of Devin Anthony Mansen

Devin Anthony Mansen passed away at the age of 22, on November 27, 2022, in Healdsburg, CA. Devin’s zest for life was unmeasurable, he is survived by his parents, Brad & Kathy Mansen, his siblings: sister Heather Mansen, brother & sister-in-law, Kasey & Kayla Mansen and his niece, Hayden.

Devin was born August 19, 2000 in Santa Rosa, CA. He was raised and currently residing in Rohnert Park, CA, where he attended Monte Vista Elementary School & Lawrence E. Jones Middle School before he moved on and graduated in 2018 from Cardinal Newman High School in Santa Rosa. He then went on to work for RC Cabinets & Closets from 2019-2021, ultimately following his childhood dream to become a heavy hauler with Tight Access Excavation, landing him his nickname of “Heavy Haul Dev”. He was so excited to have recently acquired his Class A license.

Devin’s presence and affectionate smile would light up any room. He was known for his hands-on ability to accomplish anything with pride. In his spare time he would be working in the garage taking something apart and putting it back together. Such as a complete rebuild on his Chevy Duramax Diesel motor as well as powder coating, and rebuilding the suspension and axles. Devin’s deep love for his possessions was no comparison to the love he had for his family & friends.

He and sister had a one-of-a-kind relationship; although they were separated by a 7-year age gap, it was unnoticeable. From binge watching and reciting every movie, to celebrating Halloween (especially handing out candy & using the fog machine), to chilling on the lake. Their personalities were a perfect compliment, allowing one another the freedom to be their spunky selves.

He had a special bond with his older brother that he cherished. Together, they were kids at heart. Spending quality time riding dirt bikes, washing trucks and working side by side with one another every day. They loved having fun together. Best friends looking up to one another.

Spending quality time with his family and friends at their family home at Lake Shasta was an all time favorite. His ultimate get away.....boating, dirt bike riding, snowboarding & playing Mexican Train & Beer Die with everyone. Devin introduced Lake Shasta to many friends and it had quickly become their “go-to” spot on endless occasions. In his honor, we will be renaming our Shasta house “Dev’s Place”.

Devin was the most PURE, genuine friend any of his friends could ask for. His friends respected and looked up to him. He was always willing to drop what he was doing to come help his friends with anything they needed. He always brought positivity, a sense of security and comfort to them. His drive and passion for what he loved was admired as well as respected by all his friends. Each and every friend can say, without a doubt, that he made them the people they are today....and what great friends they are. His legacy will always be shown and carried on through them. He was and will forever be their inspiration.

Devin worked hard, played hard & LOVED HARDER!

With your support, we can honor Devin's memory and his dreams of becoming a well-known figure in the diesel truck events scene.

Thank you to our sponsors! We could not do this without you!

To learn more about becoming a Sponsor for DAM Show & Shine, please read our letter below.

Dear Business Owner,

We invite you to partner with us as a sponsor for the Second Annual Devin Anthony Mansen (DAM) Memorial Show and Shine Diesel Truck Show, taking place on Saturday, August 2nd, 2025, at Penngrove Park in Penngrove, CA. This event is a celebration of Devin’s passion for diesel trucks and a way to bring together a community that meant so much to him. With the help of the community, we hope to make this event a sell-out success.

For our sponsors, we offer Bronze, Silver, and Gold tiers (details below). This year’s event will feature music, food trucks—including Galvan’s Eatery—and a gathering of diesel truck enthusiasts, family, and friends.

Why sponsor this show? FOR THE LOVE OF DEVIN!

Your generous contribution, in any amount, will help us celebrate and honor the life of Devin Mansen (22), a passionate diesel truck enthusiast and beloved member of our community.

Born and raised in Rohnert Park, CA, Devin was a 2018 graduate of Cardinal Newman High School, where he played football all four years. After graduation, he worked locally—first at RC Cabinets & Closets, then at Tight Access Excavation, where he pursued his dream of obtaining his Class A license, earning him the nickname "Heavy Haul Dev."

From a young age, Devin was passionate about diesel engines and trucks, which was heavily influenced by his close family and friends in the diesel truck community. He spent countless hours building a one-of-a-kind truck using his self-taught mechanical skills. In 2019, he entered his first truck show, proudly showcasing his 2002 Chevy 2500 Duramax. He continued to display his truck in the following years, furthering his dream of becoming a respected figure in the diesel truck event community. With your support, we can honor Devin’s memory and help keep that dream alive.

Giving Forward in Devin’s Honor

Beyond celebrating Devin’s passion, this event is about helping others—just as Devin always did. Proceeds from this event will go toward a 501c3 fund created in Devin’s honor to support local families experiencing a tragedy. Each year, we will support one or two families by providing financial assistance for urgent needs such as medical bills, funeral expenses, and meals. Devin was always quick to lend a helping hand, and through this fund, we hope to continue his legacy by offering the same support to others during their toughest times.

We deeply appreciate your consideration and look forward to partnering with you for this special event. If you would like to sponsor, please view our website and click the Sponsorship Opportunities link.

Please kindly note that all donations are tax deductible.

Sincerely,

Kathy Mansen (Devin’s mom) and Family
